DC Shoes Clothing on Google

Man, I must be even better at search engine optimization than I thought. Yesterday DC Shoes Clothing dot-com read “under construction” on it. Today I started building out the site and it’s already up to #16 on Google when you search for the keywords “dc shoes clothing”. By the time you click on this link it may have moved even higher.

So what’s the secret? Well, the domain is probably the main thing going for it, not my SEO skills. Google likes domains that have the keywords in them. So what if someone does the same thing as me? Well, I can only do much to prevent that. So I just went and also reserved these domain names:

At least this way I’m preventing people from using domains that are really similar to mine as far as DC is concerned, and I’ve got the other domains to use when I need them. Interestingly enough, while DC is definitely the most popular brand out there, there were a lot more DC domains available than for other brands.
