Chocolate, Girl, Fourstar Stickers Used in Apple Ad

We’re starting a new section of the site called “skateboarding in the media” where we’ll post interesting, humorous, or offensive use of skateboarding in the news, movies, corporate ads, etc. First off is Apple Computer’s latest Mac vs. PC ad entitled Meant for Work. Check out the screenshot below, see anything familiar? Yep, he’s got some chocolate on the shoulder of his jacket.

Just a heads up, Danny Minnick is doing all the skateboarding stunts for the web series “The Other Side”-which is a scary look at the dark side of being dead. There should be some pretty cool tricks, and the show itself is awesome as well. (it won TV Guide’s award for Best TV Drama webisodes).

It starts today, at cbs.com/ghost, and Danny should start showing up in the first few episodes (they’re only like 2 minutes each). Anyway, I think it’s pretty cool to see skating so featured, and thought I’d let you know…

I haven’t seen this ad till now but I can’t say I’m too bummed… There are worse brands to be associated with.
